Kenyatta Lawson performed in many talent shows when he was a young boy, but his first official acting role came in 1996 when he portrayed "Carl" in the sitcom In The House, featuring LL Cool J and Alfonso Ribeiro. That same year, Lawson begane producing music as well.
In 1999, he starred in the hit sitcomThe Parkers - a spin-off series from it's equally successful predecessor, Moesha. Lawson's character "Thaddeus 'T' Radcliffe" was featured occassionally during the serie's first season run, but later hopped on as a regular cast member from seasons two to five. He appears in over 100 episodes.
WhenThe Parkers ended in 2005, Lawson returned to music, making occasional cinematice appeareances in films such as Steppin: The Movie (2009).
