Teddy Riley to Receive Legend Award at 2016 Soul Train Awards

The king of New Jack Swing rightfully honored with coveted Soul Train Award.

        He was the genius production behind Michael Jackson's "Dangerous LP" which sold over 32 million copies worldwide, a founding member of platinum groups Guy and Blackstreet, and is known as the creator and the king of New Jack Swing.


There's no question then, why three-time Grammy Award-winning producer, singer-songwriter, musician, artist and technology expert Teddy Riley will be the recipient of the 2016 Legend Award at this year's Soul Train Awards.



A true visionary, Teddy Riley created the New Jack Swing sound that forever changed R&B and Hip-Hop music and was also the first African-American producer to bring the sound of Korean Pop (K-pop) to the U.S.


Righfully so, he has earned his place among legends like the 2015 Legend Award honoree Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
