Wilson also starred in the Moesha spin-off 'The Parkers,' where she also played Andell Wilkerson.

Before Wilson started her life in the entertainment business, she attended San Jose State University and majored commnications. She first entered stand-up comedy after she lost a bet and had to perform at a friend's club. Needless to say, Wilson never looked back.

Her first big film break came with the 1993 short-lived sitcom Thea. Her performance helped land her a roles in cult classics like Poetic Justice (1994) House Party (1994), Friday (1995) and Don't Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996).

In 2000, she left Moesha for its spin-off The Parkers, where she also played as Andell Wilkerson, who was the best friend of Mo'Nique's character Nikki Parker.

Wilson lost her battle with cervical cancer as well as kidney disease on June 14, 2012, at the age of 48.
