Salieu's potential is boundless. The summer face of Sean John, the only obstacles in Salieu's way are personal. Born and raised in war torn Sierra Leone to devoutly Muslim parents, Salieu has overcome tremendous hardships, along with his family, in his search for success. Coming on the scene at just the right moment, Salieu's exotic look made him an instant success within the industry.

Breaking color barriers with campaigns such as Benetton, he became a trailblazer for men of color everywhere. Unfortunately, his path has yet again become blocked. His parents are not supportive of his modeling career, considering it a frivolous pursuit, and most recently his Father ordered him out of the family home in the Bronx when Salieu steadfastly refused to give up his career and go to work for his Father.

While his Mother is more understanding, she feels she must side with her Husband on the matter and watch as her young son is forced to fend for himself. At 19 years old, can Salieu remain strong and continue defying his family's wishes? Will he ever be able to return home and win over his disapproving Father?

While most teenagers are busy hanging out and playing video games, Salieu has much more on his plate to figure out, not the least of which is growing up and taking charge of his own life. For better or worse.
