Far from the self-absorbed diva she plays on TV, Girlfriends star Jill Marie Jones likes to describe herself as “a pretty nice person.” Born and raised in Dallas, Jones has always been a woman of many talents. After graduating from college, she was a print model, a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader and a Dallas Mavericks dancer before moving to Los Angeles to become an actress. Landing her first big break after only one audition, Jones guest starred on an episode of the '90s TV series City Guys, which led to her eventual casting in Girlfriends. Jones starred as Toni Childs, an egocentric 30-something mother, in the hit TV show from 2000-2006, leaving after the sixth season to pursue her film career. Recently, Jones has had roles in several movies such as Redrum, The Perfect Holiday, Drool, 35 and Ticking and has even played Koren Lyles in the stage play of Je’Caryous Johnson’s Marriage Material.
