Winfrey is said to be thrilled to help out her sibling

No surprise here: there are major perks to being Oprah Winfrey's sister.

Radar Online reports the media maven recently gifted her long-lost half-sister Patricia Lofton with a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in Wisconsin priced at $490,000. Winfrey's sibling was introduced to the world in 2011 on her long-running talk show.

Sources say Winfrey has been active in Lofton's life by supporting her dreams of going to college and becoming a social worker. She reportedly gives her sister a monthly allowance so she can focus solely on her goals.

"[...] Patricia is so grateful that Oprah is helping her," a source told the National Enquirer. "But all she ever wanted is to know her family. She didn't expect Oprah to do anything like this."
