Harvey: 'I am honored to have the opportunity'

Steve Harvey has certainly been putting Oprah Winfrey's lessons to good use. The talk show host has landed an hour-long, one-on-one interview with President Obama.

His high marks on the daytime talk circuit have afforded him the opportunity to sit down with the POTUS at the White House to discuss family, fatherhood and his plans for the holidays. Not only will the interview serve as a huge score for the program, but a personal accomplishment for Harvey.

"Sitting down with the President is something I've always dreamt of doing, and I am honored to have the opportunity," Harvey said in a statement. "I'm grateful to President Obama for welcoming me and I'm thrilled to share this experience with all my viewers."

The big interview airs this Friday (Dec. 20).
