In Living Color actor Jay Leggett died Saturday while on a deer hunt, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He was 50.

While the cause of his death is still pending, the coroner's office believes his passing was heart-related. Authorities were reportedly called to a cabin in the town of Tomahawk after Leggett collapsed following a day of hunting. Family members attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"He was a Tomahawk boy, tried and true. And if he had to go, he couldn’t have gone in a better place," a friend told the Wausau Daily Herald.

Leggett joined the sketch comedy series in 1993 alongside Jamie Foxx, Damon Wayans, Jim Carrey and others. The comedian, also noted as a writer and producer, made appearances on ER, Ally McBeal and NYPD Blue, among other series.
