The singer stands up for the rights of animals in the circus

Of late, Chilli has been using her celebrity platform to promote issues far more positive than TLC's public feud with former manager Perri "Pebbles" Reid. In addition to raising her voice in the name of online bullying, this singer is backing animal rights organization PETA.

In the group's latest campaign, Chilli poses as a tiger to bring awareness to the mistreatment of animals in the circus.

"Like many of us, we've gone to the circus when we were little and all you get to see are the tricks and the hoops. You think that it's so cool and great that the animal can do this, but they are totally out of their natural habitat," she says in PETA's video. "There's so much cruelty behind the scenes, which is something that a lot of people don't get to see."
