Wallace suffered a leg injury at the city's Bellagio hotel-casino in 2007

Comedian George Wallace has a little extra dough in his pocket after being awarded $1.3 million in damages for a leg injury he said he suffered while performing at the Bellagio Las Vegas hotel-casino in 2007.

On Tuesday, a Nevada judge reached a verdict on the civil negligence and personal injury lawsuit after two weeks of testimony and 12 hours of deliberations among eight jurors. Wallace initially sought at least $7.1 million in damages, but said he was satisfied with the decision and would be happy to perform at the Bellagio again.

Wallace testified that the injury occurred after his leg got tangled in wiring onstage during a private performance for HSBC Card Services Inc. He said he's had a permant hobble ever since.

Bellagio attorneys adamantly denied that the hotel and its employees were responsible for his Achilles tendon injury.

The million-dollar figure will cover Wallace's lost income, $100,000 in pain and suffering and approximately $8,500 for medical expenses.
