For over five decades, Dionne Warwick has been synonymous with American pop music. Regarded as one of the most-charted female vocalists of all time---only second to Aretha Franklin---Warwick’s voice has moved generations and helped craft a body of work that over the years has gone on to be revered, covered and performed by the likes of Ron Isley, Nancy Wilson, and late entertainers Luther Vandross and Whitney Houston---her cousin. Now, after selling 150 Million Albums and Singles worldwide, the 72-year-old songstress is set to continue her legacy with the release of Feels So Good, her 28th full length album.
Marked as a duets album, the 10-track project will feature both covers and original material performed by Warwick and some of today’s biggest entertainers including Alicia Keys, Ziggy Marley, NE-YO, CeeLo Green, and Stevie Wonder. "I'm thrilled to release a new project called Feels So Good with some of today's great singers and songwriters," said Warwick. "Throughout my career, I've always enjoyed creating music through collaboration and this experience has been no different. The fresh energy with these artists, producers...is truly inspiring."
The album, the follow-up to 2012’s Now, serves as the first release on her new record label Damon Elliott Music Group---a label founded by her son, producer Damon Elliott, who has worked with Destiny’s Child, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Gwen Stefani.
News of the new album comes just a week after Warwick recieved the Legend Award at the 2013 Soul Train Awards, and her Grammy Award-nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Now.
Feels So Good will be released in May 2014.
