The couple shared the exciting news via social media as they showed off the bride-to-be's custom 8.5 carat cushion cut engagement ring by Jason of Beverly Hills. According to media reports, the rock is worth nearly $1 million.
"Sooooo this happened... #Yessss," Union captioned her photo, while Wade posted the same picture stating, "She said YES!" The Miami Heat star popped the question before a Christmas party for the team with Chris Bosh, Adrienne Bosh, managing general partner Micky Arison and others in attendance.
Wade reportedly searched for several months to find the perfect diamond, making three trips to Miami to find Union's stunning stone.
This will be the second marriage for both Wade and Union who got together in 2009.
Best wishes to the couple!
