Strawberry Basil Margarita
Everyone loves a margarita on a warm sunny day. You can serve this strawberry-basil remix in a pitcher when hosting a large party.
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate
10 strawberries (or 12 if you're using smaller ones from the farmer's market or your backyard.)
8 basil leaves
2 to 2 1/2 cups tequila (gold or silver)
Directions: Empty limeade concentrate into pitcher. Add 2 1/2 cans of water and 1 1/2 (18 ounces, or 2 1/4 cups) cans of tequila. Hull strawberries, slice lengthwise, and add to pitcher. Crumple basil in your hands and add to pitcher. Place pitcher, covered, in fridge overnight, or for at least four hours.
There’s nothing like cucumbers to cool you off and give you that classic refreshing taste.
2 half-inch slices of cucumber
8 leaves fresh cilantro
2 quarter-inch slices of fresh green finger chili (any medium-mild chili, such as jalapeno or Anaheim can be substituted)
1 3/4 ounce gin
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Directions: Muddle cucumber, cilantro, and chili in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass until well broken and slightly mashed. Add gin, lime, and simple syrup and shake vigorously. Strain into a double rocks glass, half filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of cucumber.
Because watermelons and mojitos are both very popular during the spring and summer, they make a perfect marriage for the perfect cocktail.

1 ounce simple syrup
6-8 mint leaves
3 1/2 ounces watermelon flesh, cut into cubes
Directions: Muddle watermelon and mint in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Add rum, lime juice, and simple syrup, and shake well with ice. Pour (without straining) into a double rocks glass.
