Mariah Carey opened up her doors to TODAY's Tamron Hall to show of her beautifully decorated NYC home.
Mariah’s pink room is her family room that no one really goes in because it's home to the family's personal memorabilia. “There are just personal items that are special to me,” the “Triumphant” singer said. “The kids don’t even know the room exists yet. ‘Dem babies don’t even know the room is here!”
There were two huge Christmas trees filled with lights, her awards and old family photos her grandmothers had saved.
The mom and wife showed off her twins Moroccan and Monroe’s first Christmas. Mariah also showed a picture of herself as a kid sitting on Santa’s lap. “You can see my little diaper hanging...that’s not very cute.”
We learn that both sides of Mariah’s family are musical. Her dad’s side have the last name of Cole, and Mariah and Natalie Cole have talked about looking into their bloodlines.
“All I Want For Christmas” is one of the most famous Christmas songs by the pop diva. She says, “I wanted to make the most festive song that would make people happy.”
The Christmas tree is decorated with pretty pink peonies. Hubby Nick Canonn gets into the holiday spirit as well by dressing up. Watch the full video, here.
