If you needed a reason to splurge on a new smartphone, here’s your chance.
Samsung has introduced some convenient health and fitness features to its new smartphone, The Galaxy S5, in an attempt to make everyday life that much easier.
The feature known as “Health S” will allow users to access health info, track and map workouts, as well as make and track healthier eating choices.
The new Galaxy, which the tech brand coins “The Next Big Thing,” also has the world’s first built-in heart rate monitor (HRM), ) which provides real-time data before and after exercise by placing a finger on a sensor by the rear-facing camera. Other features include meal tracking and planning with nutritional information, an exercise log and the ability to map your runs and track your location.
But just in case the health and fitness features aren’t enough to sell you on the Galaxy S5, there’s also the fingerprint sensor that locks and unlocks the device, Google Wallet support and top-of-line Wi-Fi speed.
The Galaxy S5 will go on sale April 11, and will be carried at Sprint, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS and U.S. Cellular.
