The network will air the full-length feature in honor of National Coming Out Day.

In honor of National Coming Out Day (October 11), Centric will air the full-length LGBT documentaryThe Same Difference - the first of its kind.

Directed by Nneka Onuorah, the documentary explores the gender roles and rules that are imposed on women, especially Black women, in the lesbian community and features prominent lesbian actors AzMarie Livingston (Empire), Felicia "Snoop" Pearson (The Wire) and Lea Delaria (Orange Is The New Black).

“Often times in the lesbian community, especially in the African-American lesbian community, there are rules and roles that come with your lifestyle, " Director Nneka Onuorah explains. "For example, if you present, dress, and take on the ‘masculine’ lesbian, you are expected to uphold that persona forever and it can be frustrating to be stereotyped in that way.”

The film has already broken independent film records with it's sellout premiere in New York City and will be shown in theaters overseas (London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Prague and Sardinia) on October 31.

Watch the television premiere of The Same Difference on Tuesday, October 11 at 11P|10C only on Centric.
