The Grammy Award-nominated singer releases the lead single off her upcoming studio album 'Work of Art'

Deborah Cox is gearing up for her forthcoming sixth studio album Work of Art, with the release of the project's lead single "More Than I Knew."

Produced by Thadeuis Dixon, the song successfully showcases Cox's vocal prowess and further confirms her ability to tear up (yes, tear up) a ballad or mid-tempo tune.

Sonically the song will put die-hard Deb fans in the spirit of her early releases, but it doesn't feel like it was plucked from the cutting room floor of a One Wish session. It's indeed fresh.

"This song is classic me; lots of emotion about a scenario I believe a lot of women find themselves in," said Cox to Billboard.com.

"More Than I Knew" follows the "Kinda Miss You" a dance track released as a buzz single back in February.

Work of Art will be released on August 15.
