The comedic actor passed away after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that 'Martin' star Tommy Ford has passed away. He was 52.



Tommy Ford---best known for his portraying "Tommy" on the 1990s sitcom Martin---is on life support at an Atlanta-area hospital after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen.

According to his wife, Gina, the 52-year-old actor and comedian, has been hospitalized since Sunday and his health has declined ever since. He is currently on life support, with many speculating that he might not make it through the day.

Ford, a veteran comedic actor, starred in all five seasons of Martin, and went on to snag roles on "New York Undercover," "The Jamie Foxx Show" and "The Parkers."

He also wrote a series of children's books that promoted drug-free and violence-free lifestyles.
