Monica is sounding off on her publicized feud with friend and fellow R&B songstress Ciara, which she says is now a thing of the past.
"We're great now and I'm hoping that other people are over it and move on," Monica tells Madame Noire. "It was very shortlived because when I love someone, I love them forever."
Though the Grammy-winning singer admits that there was some form of strife in their sistership, she maintains that rumors circulating on blogs that it was over her not telling Ciara that former fiancé, Future, was cheating on her is absolutely false.
"The stuff that you read wasn't true anyway. What did take place we kept that amongst us and it's done...you move on," Monica said.
"It used to be an idea that when there was smoke there was fire. Nowadays things that are on blogs have zero truth. I have read things where not one sentence of two, three paragraphs have any truth," she added.
Still, the singer says she and Ciara have laid whatever issues they had to rest.
"That's the way sisters do, that's the way family members do. When you love somebody you should love them forever and that's the way that I am."
