Bill Cosby has one more item to add to his laundry list of issues: the 78-year-old comedian is reportedly going blind.
Monica Pressley, Cosby's attorney, told "CBS This Morning" her client's health and vision are deteriorating, referring to him as a "blind man."
"He's a 78-year-old blind man who they've chosen to charge. That's not a defense to a charge; that's just a fact," Pressley said, speaking to Cosby's recent legal troubles. Last week, the star was charged with sexual assault in relation to an alleged 2004 incident.
Cosby's health issues are being used in his defamation lawsuit against former supermodel Beverly Johnson, who claims he drugged and tried to sexually assault her in the 1980s.
"Mr. Cosby has suffered from a degenerative eye condition for years, which has steadily worsened recently to the point that he for over a year has been legally and functionally blind," his legal team stated.
It is unclear when Cosby was diagnosed with the eye condition.
