The days of Camille Cosby standing by her husband Bill Cosby might be numbered, with sources saying she's been "thoroughly humiliated" and unsympathetic of his recent legal troubles.
Camille was noticeably absent at her husband's arraignment last week where he was formally charged with sexual assault in relation to an alleged 2004 incident. It seems the comedian's wife of more than fifty years has reached the limit on her loyalty and is fed up with the entire ordeal.
A close family source told the New York Post that Camille recently confided in them, stating, "My husband doesn't deserve jail, but he does deserve every bit of the hell he's going through now even though he is still pretending that this hell doesn't exist."
The source also said Camille was well aware of Bill's infidelities, but had asked that he be discreet and not shame her in any way. Those requests have obviously gone out the window, as the 78-year-old star stands accused of drugging and/or sexually assaulting more than 50 women.
The insider continued, "[Camille] has been thoroughly humiliated and believe me, her anger isn't directed at the women. Bill has humiliated her, and the affairs he's had have gotten out of hand and this [criminal charge] is him reaping what he's sown."
Camille will be forced to testify against Bill in a deposition on Jan. 6 in Springfield, Massachusetts, despite her efforts to avoid the order. The hearing is in relation to a defamation lawsuit filed by seven women who claim Bill sexually assaulted them years ago.
