Terrence Jenkins is saying 'so long, farewell' to E! News after three years with the entertainment news program and moving on to focus on his acting and producing career.
The TV host announced the news Tuesday evening, saying that his last day on the job would be Wednesday (Dec. 16). Jenkins said the decision was "exciting but also bittersweet" and was looking forward to taking on new challenges in the future.
"I started hosting when I was 16 years old back in North Carolina, and I've been now on national television for over 10 years," he said. "Seventeen years, that's a long time, and I think in order for someone to grow it's important that you try new things and you create new challenges, create new dreams for yourself."
Earlier this year, Jenkins produced and starred in his first feature film titled The Perfect Match, which is due out at the top of the year. The film also stars Brandy, Cassie Ventura, Donald Faison, Paula Patton and Lauren London.
Jenkins-- who's appeared in Think Like A Man, Baggage Claim, Entourage and more-- is also set to guest star on an upcoming episode of the NBC sitcom "Truth Be Told."
