Nene Leakes could be making her return to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" sooner than later, considering there's a six-figure deal on the table with her name written all over it.
According to LALATE, the reality star turned actress is in talks to make a comeback on the hit Bravo series after departing from the show last season. Sources say Leakes is expected to return for a final four to five episode arch and three reunion episodes, which comes with a fat paycheck.
The report states:
"Leakes is set to film from January to early spring, and give BravoTV a final four to five episode arch for the regular season, plus three reunion episodes. Leakes is expected to be paid for about three months of work about $560,000, more than many of her co-stars were paid for an entire season, LALATE can report.
[...] Leakes wanted to keep her calendar open as To Tell the Truth wrapped filming. Leakes like others wondered if To Tell the Truth would be picked up for a national syndication deal, making RHOA 8 filming impossible. But that the game show still remains in limbo. Meantime her national comedy tour did not pan out either. With that free time, Leakes inked a role on Broadway and for the Fashion Police, projects that RHOA executives can clearly work around. This winter, Leakes’ roll on Chicago ends on December 20, much like her roll in Cinderella did last year."
While there's been no confirmation on the multi-episode arch, it has been made clear that Leakes will return to the series while attending the annual girls' trip. The footage was captured before she began her run in Chicago on Broadway.
"Housewives" executive producer Andy Cohen has said on multiple occasions that Leakes is welcome back at any time and she just might take him up on the offer.
