Franklin: 'I didn't feel like I was wanted.'

Former Destiny's Child member Farrah Franklin is back in the spotlight with a new interview with VladTV where she discusses the reason why she left the group, her issue with management and the harsh treatment she allegedly endured.

Read a few excerpts and watch the full interview below.

On why Farrah left the group...

"Ultimately, it was management. [Mathew Knowles] did get kind of loud and … I don’t know the right word to say right now … but it's not a way you would want somebody treating your 18-year-old daughter, fresh out of the hospital. [...] I kinda felt like 'Okay, you need to be happy to be here, so just take it.' And I did, until I was tired of taking it."

On being fired after allegedly missing several performances...

"That's not true. I've never missed a show ever or I would've got [kicked] out the group. You know how much I was getting paid to do a show? And that's the best part of my day? I'm not missing any shows. But when I leave the group, they weren't honest with people and said that I left. They were trying to give themselves more time to clear the air or whatever. I've never missed a show. […] You can't say I'm missing shows if I'm no longer a part of the group anymore. That's a lie."

Farrah's thoughts on why the group lied about her departure...

"They didn't want to tell people what was going on. They just lost two other members six months ago, but everybody's leaving for the same reason and we don't even know each other."

On the vibes Farrah was getting from her former group members...

"I didn’t feel like I was wanted. I know when I'm not wanted somewhere."
