Deion Sanders can breathe easy knowing his court battle with Pilar Sanders has come to an end and a judge has ruled in his favor. The NFL Hall of Famer has scored a $2.2 million judgement in a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.
The trouble began when Pilar claimed she and her children were victims of domestic violence in several interviews and posts on the Internet. The accusations stemmed from a larger issue between the former couple over custody of their three children.
TMZ reports the money Pilar owes Deion offsets any money he would have paid in their divorce settlement, meaning he owes nothing and she owes more that $1 million. It's also reported Pilar will head to jail for a week on Jan. 8 after committing several violations in her custody agreement.
Pilar's attorneys say they will appeal the decision.
