Nicki Minaj might have found a new romance with rapper Meek Mill, but she's still dealing with the issues of a past relationship.
According to TMZ, the Soul Train Awards nominee could soon be facing a lawsuit from her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels in a financial dispute over her music. Samuels reportedly wants a percentage of Minaj's earnings from her first three albums Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and The Pinkprint.
Samuels claims he helped Minaj create several of her biggest hits including "Only" (featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown), as well as "Flawless (Remix)" and "Feeling Myself" with Beyoncé. He is said to have a ton of evidence which includes multiple witnesses, video of him working with Minaj, voice memos from their recording sessions and hours of footage from their studio sessions.
Samuels was recognized as an executive producer on Minaj's first two albums, but was left off her third effort.
Sources say Samuels' lawsuit is "imminent," as he's already obtained a lawyer.
