Mathew Knowles' child support woes are far from over, as the mother of his 5-year-old son is taking him back to court over his failure to tend to his financial responsibilities. And this time, he could be behind bars.
Alexsandra Wright recently sat with "Crime Watch Daily" to discuss the contempt of court charges filed against the father of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles. She claims Mathew owes her more than $40,000 in back child support for their son Nixon and says he's been served with a court summons.
"This could potentially be jail time if he doesn't make it right by [Oct. 30]," she said. "[...] Do the right thing."
Mathew and Alexsandra have been in a child support battle since 2010. Last year, Alexsandra was awarded nearly $2,500 per month, a reduction from the $12,000 per month Mathew was originally ordered to pay when he was Beyoncé's manager.
Whether or not Mathew decides to pay up, Alexsandra says she has one hope for her son.
She said, "All I wanted was for my son ... whether I'm on this planet, whether Mathew ever turns around and does the right thing or not ... to know that he matters and he counts."
