Divorce is off the table for Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom, but that doesn't mean the couple has rekindled their romance. In an interview with PEOPLE, the reality star sets the record straight on her relationship with the NBA champ.
"It's out in the media that we are back together, but I wish people understood that's not in our thought process right now," Kardashian said. "There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It's not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now."
Last week, Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser withdrew her divorce petition at her client's request nearly two years after Kardashian pulled the plug on her marriage. Odom's drug overdose left him fighting for his life and Kardashian has remained by his side, leading many to believe she's had a change of heart.
Kardashian continued, "It's not anything sexual or intimate. I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it's the same, except I'm here supporting him fully."
Kardashian said her decision to scrap the divorce was simply a matter of timing and personal reasons.
"I'm not trying to get married tomorrow to anybody. It's just bad timing to proceed with that right now. And also for medical reasons, it's just smarter that gets on hold for a minute," she said.
"But that does not mean I'm back with Lamar. That's a whole other thing that only time will tell. I can't tell you what tomorrow brings."
Odom continues to seek treatment at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Insiders say he's facing a rehabilitation period of at least six months.
