R&B singers announced as first performers at next month's event

Ladies, you're in for a treat. Tyrese and Jeremih have been tapped to perform at this year's Soul Train Awards, hosted by Erykah Badu.

The singers have been announced as the first performers of the annual event, which celebrates R&B and soul's biggest legends alongside a new generation of talented artists.

Tyrese is coming off a big year following the release of his sixth (and reported final) studio album, Black Rose, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. He has been nominated for three Soul Train Awards, including Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter's Award ("Shame") and Album of the Year.

Jeremih-- best known for hits such as "Birthday Sex," "Don't Tell Em," "Down On Me" and "Planes"-- also recently celebrated the release of his third studio album, Late Nights. He is currently riding the wave of his third single "Tonight Belongs To U!" featuring Flo Rida.

The fellas are just the first of many artists scheduled to hit the stage at this year's event. In addition to a number of unforgettable performances and special appearances, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds (Legend Award) and Jill Scott (first-ever Lady Of Soul Award) will be honored for their outstanding accomplishments in the world of music.

Soul Train Awards 2015 will be filmed Friday, Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and will air simultaneously on Centric and BET on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. EST. For more information about this year's show, visit BET.com/SoulTrain.
