Despite health updates listing Lamar Odom's condition as 'stable,' recent reports suggest the former NBA star isn't out of the woods yet. Sources say the star's kidneys are failing and he'll likely need a transplant.
Insiders tell TMZ the organs that failed have all bounced back "in significant degree," except for the kidneys. A alleged source close to the situation says Odom's kidneys are "shot."
Odom was transported to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles over the weekend after spending nearly a week at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He's been hospitalized since Oct. 13 after being found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel.
Sources say the reason for the move was so Odom could get better specialized care. He is reportedly set to undergo six hours of dialysis a day, but doctors are looking at the possibility of a kidney transplant.
Specialists are also said to be performing brain tests which will help them assess the damage done by the multiple stokes had by Odom.
All in all, Odom is reportedly "making fast progress," but will need "a lot" of rehab in the coming months.
