Lamar Odom's estranged wife Khloé Kardashian has stepped forward with her first official statement since the former NBA star's medical emergency earlier this month.
On Tuesday, the reality star posted a message on her website thanking her family, friends and fans for their continued support and prayers through this trying time. She wrote:
"The past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayer that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!! XOXO Khloé."
Kardashian has been by Odom's side since he was admitted into a Las Vegas hospital on Oct. 13. The athlete had been found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel after reportedly using cocaine and sexual-performance supplement pills.
Kardashian is said to be making all medical decision pertaining to Odom's health, as the pair are still legally married. She filed for divorce in December 2013, but the estranged couple didn't sign off on the papers until this past July. A judge has yet to finalize the divorce.
