An attorney for Sherri Shepherd is back in Pennsylvania this week in an attempt to overturn the star's child support payments pertaining to a son she had with ex-husband Lamar Sally via a surrogate.
Radar Online reports the former co-host of "The View" is holding out hope that she will be relieved of her financial responsibility to the young boy. She also wants her name removed from his birth certificate.
During previous court proceedings, Shepherd argued she was tricked into having the baby with Sally before their marriage went south and she had no connection to the child.
Shepherd was named legal mother of the child in April, but has continuously fought to reverse the decision. A judge reportedly told her attorney that if the case keeps up, they may end up going to the Supreme Court.
Shepherd currently pays Sally $4,100 per month in child support.
