Try as you may, there's just no containing the force that is Grace Jones.
The legendary multi-hyphenate is currently on a press tour for her new autobiography, "I'll Never Write My Memoirs," and seems to be a bit more than publisher Gallery Books can handle. A source tells Page Six the Simon & Schuster imprint is just about ready for the promo run to end because Jones is a handful.
"She's not their typical author and they don't know how to handle someone like her," the insider said. "[...] The team doesn't understand the last-minute schedule changes. She's a star from a certain era who does what she pleases. It's difficult not to love her because she's fun and wild, but she does what she wants to do and it has been a huge headache for them."
Some of Jones' antics include showing up to a book signing two hours late, smoking a cigarette during said book signing and flashing her boobs at photographers at the event.
As wild as Jones can be, Gallery Books director of publicity Jennifer Robinson has denied that her team is fed up with the star (although she admits to "needing some recovery time").
Robinson said, "She's amazing-- a force of nature, really-- and there's a reason she's an icon."
