You truly never know what someone is going through.
Earlier this week we published a report about Tyra Banks breaking down on set of her new talk show "FABLife" while discussing the topic of fertility and motherhood. It turns out the tears were real after co-host Chrissy Teigen voiced her frustrations with people asking her the always-annoying question: 'When are you going to have kids?'
"Just being two years into being married, the questions just come from all over. It's kind of crazy because I can't imagine being that nosy to be like, 'So when are the kids coming?' because who knows what somebody's going through," Teigen said, adding that she and husband John Legend have had issues with conceiving.
"[...] Anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm just like one day you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that, so stop asking me."
Moved by Teigen's admission, Banks opened up about her own fertility issues and the added pressure she receives from being in the public eye. She said:
"I'm so tired of seeing on my social media, 'Why don't you have kids? Why don't you have kids?' You don't know what I'm going though. You have no idea. When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, 'In three years, I'm gonna have kids.' Then I turned 24 ... 'In three years, I'm gonna have kids.' Every single year, I kept saying that and then after a while it's like, 'Okay, now I want to' and it's not so easy."
Banks, Teigen and the "FABLife" crew get deeper into the issue when the episode airs Sept. 21. Check out a clip from the segment below.
