Derrick Rose is on the defense as a woman is suing the Chicago Bulls star for allegedly drugging and gang raping her along with two of his friends, reports TMZ.
The woman, being identified as Jane Doe, claims she and Rose dated from 2011 to 2013, but there were constant disagreements in their sexual relationship. She says Rose tried to pressure her to masturbate in front of him, allow him to have sex with her friends and engage in group sex with strangers. She says she refused it all.
In August 2013, the woman alleges Rose and his friends-- Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton-- invited her to his Beverly Hills home where she believes they drugged her in an effort to rape her. She says she escaped from the home with a friend, but Rose and his friends later broke into her apartment and gang raped her while she was incapacitated.
The woman says she only remembers "flashes" of the incident, but can recall Rose, Allen and Hampton raping her. She says she waited two years to file the suit because she was "ashamed and embarrassed" of what happened and concerned her "conservative family" would find out.
She is suing for unspecified damages.
In response to her claims, Rose's lawyer Lisa Cohen told TMZ the lawsuit "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete."
She notes that Rose and the woman were in a "non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship for over two years" and the complaints didn't come until lawyers told her to go after Rose's bank account. Cohen says this is the third attorney the woman has hired to sue Rose.
Cohen added, "We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated. This lawsuit is outrageous."
