In typical "Real Housewives of Atlanta" fashion, things are shaking up during the off season and the newest casting rumor includes transgender model Amiyah Scott.
While Bravo has yet to confirm or deny the reports, Variety says its learned Scott will appear, in some capacity, during the show's eighth season. The news follows behind the departure of Nene Leakes and reports of Shereè Whitfield, Marlo Hampton and Kim Fields joining the show.
Several peaches are still in the air, but Atlanta sources have spotted all of the aforementioned women filming around town. It's only a matter of time before the final roster is revealed. Until then, we've done a bit of digging into the life of Amiyah Scott, who might be on our television screens sooner than later.
Here's what we've learned.
She's all about beauty. "RHOA's" new rumored star is a "model, makeup guru, weaveologist, mermaid, transformer [and] beauty consultant," as described on her social media accounts.
She's a Southern girl, with Yankee beginnings. Amiyah was born in Manhattan, but raised in New Orleans. In a 2011 interview with The Fab Femme, she said she was separated from her family after Hurricane Katrina and formed a special bond with the folks at the house of Mizrahi, where she made a name for herself on the ballroom scene.
She made her transition as a teen. Amiyah was born "Arthur," but said she "trashed and gave away" her previous gender's clothes when she was 17. In a past interview on As Told By Ms. Monroe..., Amiyah said she's gone through breast augmentation surgery, admits to "booty shots" and said she's gotten light fillers in her cheeks.
She's been dragged into plenty of celebrity mess. A quick Google search of Amiyah alleges she's been coupled with a few famous fellas on the low (all rumors courtesy of the Internet, of course). Wiz Khalifa, Soulja Boy and Trey Songz are just a few of the names that've popped up, but there seems to be no truth behind the tales.
She loves a bad boy. In her interview with Ms. Monroe, Amiyah said: "I have a thing for bad boys.. You know, thugs.. But I like pretty boys too.. Just no bitchassness! I'm attracted to masculinity and confidence! I love a nice smile and a man with style!"
