It's that time of year again, folks. When divorce rumors run wild about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, as confirmed by "sources" close to the couple.
This time around, Radar Online kicked off the reports with claims that Will and Jada would end their marriage this summer with a "blockbuster secret divorce deal." The story quickly went viral, with a number of media outlets reporting on the alleged split.
Will eventually swooped in to kill the noise about any divorce talk between him and his "queen." On Monday afternoon, he wrote on Facebook:
"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!'
So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are...
NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)
I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself!
#Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's"
Jada opted to stay quite on the matter.
Radar Online's report was the latest attempt at driving a wedge between Will and Jada. The couple have dealt with divorce rumors for years and the rise social media (and the rapid spread of misinformation) has not helped their case.
