Reality star confirms the loss of her child with boyfriend Reggie Youngblood

"Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman and boyfriend Reggie Youngblood have suffered a miscarriage, reports TMZ.

A rep for the couple told the entertainment site they are "mourning their loss with close friends and family. The couple requests prayers and privacy as they get through this difficult time."

Roman, 45, announced the pregnancy in June on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta After Party Live" as her first child with Youngblood, 28 (she has two daughters from a previous marriage with former NBA player Kenny Anderson).

Roman was three months pregnant at the time of the miscarriage.

In an interview with Necole Bitchie, Roman expressed her concerns with being pregnant at such a late stage and her fear of any complications.

"I'm not going to act like I'm not afraid," Roman said. "Deciding to have a child at the age of 45 is very risky and when I first found out that I was definitely pregnant I went through a lot of emotions; fear, excitement, anxiety and stress. I find resolve in knowing that the person I am having this child with absolutely adores me and wants to build a family with me so I’m excited about the possibility of that."

Roman's miscarriage follows behind that of former "Basketball Wives" cast member Evelyn Lozada. The star chronicled her pregnancy complications and loss on her OWN reality show "Livin' Lozada."
