Braxton discusses the status of her relationship with K. Michelle after their 2015 BET Awards performance

If you were waiting for pictures to surface online of Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle kiki-ing on a girls shopping trip, don't hold your breath. Their 2015 BET Awards performance together was a step toward being civil, not best friends forever.

Braxton recently stopped by Power 105.1 to chat it up with Angie Martinez about the status of her relationship with K. Michelle after they took the stage with Patti LaBelle last month. While it was certainly a moment to remember, the brief encounter wasn't exactly enough to make up for months of shady remarks and direct shots fired on both sides.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS AND BLACK FEMALE SOLIDARITY

"Let me just be honest about it. That weekend was the first time I've ever met her," Braxton told Martinez. "So, we're not homies. It's not that. We're just cordial. It's no beef. Never really was no beef like that because I had to treat it like someone on Twitter because I never met her."

Braxton admitted that the moment wasn't completely organic, instead orchestrated by BET.

"BET did put us together and it wasn't awkward," she added. "[...] Well, yes it was a little bit at first. But then you know, she sang, I sang, we went home."

Braxton reiterated that the beef has "absolutely" been put to bed.

Thank God for growth and forgiveness.
