Sherri Shepherd is taking her talents back to television for a new show with Cooking Channel titled "Holy & Hungry."
The network announced Tuesday the series will follow the former "The View" co-host as she travels the country to visit food establishments that share her passion for food and faith.
"Eating has always been like a religious experience for me. Growing up, my father was a deacon and my mother always cooked all of our meals, so we had good food on the table and faith in our hearts," Shepherd said in a statement. "I'm excited to share the personal stories and mouthwatering recipes of those who are just as passionate about food and faith as I am."
Cooking Channel has ordered six half-hour episodes of the program which will premiere Aug. 23.
