Sherri Shepherd Lands A New Show On Cooking Channel

Shepherd will host 'Holy & Hungry' as she travels the country to visit food establishments that share her passion for food and faith

Sherri Shepherd is taking her talents back to television for a new show with Cooking Channel titled "Holy & Hungry."


The network announced Tuesday the series will follow the former "The View" co-host as she travels the country to visit food establishments that share her passion for food and faith.


SHERRI SHEPHERD REPORTEDLY HEADED BACK TO 'THE VIEW'


"Eating has always been like a religious experience for me. Growing up, my father was a deacon and my mother always cooked all of our meals, so we had good food on the table and faith in our hearts," Shepherd said in a statement. "I'm excited to share the personal stories and mouthwatering recipes of those who are just as passionate about food and faith as I am."


Cooking Channel has ordered six half-hour episodes of the program which will premiere Aug. 23.
