Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, has officially been served with a $10 million lawsuit which claims he physically abused her and stole money from her inheritance.
Gordon, 25, was given the documents by a process server on Sunday as he was leaving a Starbucks in Longwood, Florida, reports the New York Daily News. Bystanders say he took a seat in front of the coffee shop and proceeded to scroll through his phone as the envelope sat on a chair across the table.
The lawsuit was filed by Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove on June 24 with claims that Gordon caused "substantial" harm to the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. The family alleges he beat Bobbi Kristina on several occasions-- punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth and dragging "her upstairs by her hair."
The suit also claims Gordon took control of Bobbi Kristina's finances and regularly transferred money from her account to his account while she was in a coma. At one point, Gordon allegedly transferred $11,000.
The documents go on to detail the hours leading up to Bobbi Kristina's drowning on Jan. 31 when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta-area home. She reportedly had plans to meet up with someone, but instead got into a heated argument with Gordon.
"The loud argument ended and Brown was later found unresponsive and unconscious, face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out," the suit claims.
Bobbi Kristina remains under hospice care at a facility in Duluth, Georgia.
Gordon is accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, unjust enrichment and conversion.
