It's been a hell of a week for Draya Michele and Orlando Scandrick who broke off their engagement and went their separate ways after a two-year relationship. The Dallas Cowboys cornerback called the proposal a "poor decision" but is now going back on his initial statement.
While the wedding is still off, Scandrick tells TMZ his remarks following the news were impulsive and he still has love for the "Basketball Wives LA" star.
"I want to apologize for my original statement. I let my emotions fly impulsively," he explained. "Draya is a great mother, works hard and I wish her nothing but the best. I still love her."
Scandrick also went on to shut down the rumors about Draya faking the engagement and buying her own ring. He says he did ask for her hand in marriage but things just didn't work out in the end.
"I purchased the ring. I proposed," he said. "There was no cheating involved, we just couldn't make it work."
