Folks sure know how to kick a girl when she’s down.
Following news of Draya Michele’s broken engagement to Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick, reports surfaced accusing the “Basketball Wives LA” star of faking the engagement. A story on lovebscott.com claimed Scandrick never proposed to Draya and she bought her own ring.
While the reality star has remained relatively quiet since the split earlier this week, she found it necessary to hop on Twitter to defend her name against the baseless allegations.
“It must be fun to watch someone throw stones at a person, so much fun others want to join in on the rock slinging,” Draya tweeted on Wednesday. “I would NEVER buy my own ring or fake an engagement. I was just involved in a circus and didn’t know I was the clown.”
The tweets have since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Scandrick is also denying the report. When Baller Alert posted the story to their Instagram page, he replied: “LIES. Sometimes in life things just don’t work out as planned.”
Here's to hoping the pair can move on without any more drama.
