Nene Leakes has been the talk of the town since announcing her exit from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" earlier this week. But folks are now questioning whether or not the reality star left voluntarily.
An alleged source tells Radar Online Leakes was "actually being pushed out by Bravo" over her lack of participation with the ladies and her tendency to storm out of group meetings.
"[Leakes] was alienating everyone on the show and refused to do so much. Sometimes wouldn't do publicity for the show and even when she did film she would sometimes just storm off," the source said.
The report continues:
"Her season-long protest tantrums lead producers to try and axe her from her full time spot the source said. 'They didn't want to pay her as much since she kept storming off and not saying anything on camera,' the source said.
So instead of raking in well over $1 million a season, 'They told her they were going to pay her half as much and cut her time back,' claimed the source.
In order to save face, the source told Radar, 'Bravo allowed her to say that she wanted to leave but really Bravo was the one cutting her.'"
The source added that Leakes also felt pressure from her husband and kids about leaving the show because of the bad press she was getting. Her oldest son's arrest last month didn't help her situation.
However things went down, Leakes has recovered. She has already landed a spot on ABC's revival of "To Tell The Truth" and recently inked a deal with Kim Kardashian to be a part of the reality star's mobile video game.
