Queen Latifah, Mo'Nique, Tika Sumpter And More Attend 'Bessie' NYC Screening

It was ladies night on Wednesday as the women of HBO's Bessie attended the New York City screening of the upcoming telepic at the Museum of Modern Art.


Stars Queen Latifah, Mo'Nique, Tika Sumpter and Khandi Alexander took the red carpet for an advanced showing of the film. The biopic chronicles the life and career of singer Bessie Smith, showcasing how she became one of the most successful and highest paid African-American performers of the 1920s.
