Split ends, no body, and tangled hair---oh my!

It’s that time of the year where we not only will be worrying about our skin; we will be worrying about our hair. From heat damage, to fading color, we all want our hair at it’s optimal best during the summer of sun. But one factor we sometimes skip when it comes to maintaining healthy hair is the trim. Some of us intentionally dread it while others just never know when we need one.

Below are a few tips to keep you updated on when your hair is due for a trim.

Your hair is unruly and really frizzy at the end

It’s not just dryness, you probably also need a good trim. Adding intense moisture won’t do the trick (as you probably tried over and over again). You need a fresh set of tresses to start with, and you’ll only get that with an ample trim (possibly followed by a deep conditioner).

You have a seriously hard time detangling your hair

Don’t be fooled by your kinky, coily strands. Detangling your hair may be hard, but it’s not supposed to be that hard. You are probably due for a good trim to rid your hair of knots and such.

Your hair has no body to it

Dead, dry and lifeless ends lead to lifeless hair. Your hair will fall extremely flat if you’re overdue for a good trim. Pay attention to how your hair looks right after you trim, and when you start to see limpness. This will help you know when an upcoming visit to the salon is needed.
