Taraji P. Henson is 43. It bears repeating because she flawlessly slays. At 43.
The Oscar-nominated actress, Howard University graduate and mother not only has three projects lined up, she’s also stunningly bodying her spread in Vogue Italia. Shot by Itaysha Jordan, Henson is giving classic regal glam as she rocks high-end labels Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
Some of our favorite looks: all of them. But she’s particularly bossy in the soft pink robe/coat and black gown.
In the interview, Henson dishes on her most difficult role, working with Idris Elba and her beauty regimen.
“The most challenging role was that of Queenie in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button because of the challenges of the aging process,” she said about her Academy Award-nominated role. “My Mom Bernice and my Grandmother Patsy were my inspirations.”
As for the most instrumental people in her career, she credits her team.
“The most instrumental people in my career are my business team that supports me. That starts with my long-term manager Vincent Cirrincione," she said. "You need to know the people in your life are looking out for you and have your very best interests at heart.”
She also discussed working with eye candy Idris Elba on the forthcoming film No Good Deed.
"Working with Idris Elba is so terrible because he’s so hard to look at !!! Idris is a wonderful human being. We have great chemistry and have become the closest of pals," she explained. "He flew from London to see my play in Los Angeles. We truly support each other and I’m so excited about our movie coming out in September No Good Deed."
And how does the mom stay looking so gorgeous at 43?
"It’s important to keep my hair healthy and strong so I wrap it every night. I give my face a rest from make-up when I can. I make sure I wash my face every night before bed and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize."
Henson, who recently covered Upscale, can currently be seen starring in From the Rough. Later this year, she'll star in Think Like A Man Too, the aforementioned No Good Deed and Lee Daniels' television drama "Empire."
