Anna Wintour's April 2014 cover featuring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has the world buzzing on whether or not the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple deserved the honor.
Leave it to Campbell to remain coy about her thoughts on the decision. When asked about the cover during an interview on Australia's "The Morning Show" she stated, "I do not want to comment."
Campbell followed with a rather shady laugh.
She continued, "I'm a fashion model and I've been working for 28 years. When you get a VOGUE cover, it's a build in your career. It's a stepping stone to achieve that. I'm a fashion model, so, what more can I say."
The anchor then questioned if Campbell believed the couple earned the right to be on the cover.
"Those are your words, I'm being politically correct. That's Anna Wintour's choice to put them on the cover of her magazine, who's to question it?"
Since Friday's big reveal, Wintour has since come forward to defend her decision of featuring the pair in the esteemed glossy.
In an official statement, she explained "[...] As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true."
