Year after year “Oprah’s Favorite Things” segment caused pandemonium among American women, as the show’s audience crossed their fingers and toes with hopes of Oprah Winfrey yelling, “You get a car, you get a car, you get a car!”
On the December cover of O, The Oprah Magazine Oprah dons a magical red Vera Wang dress. While magazine readers will flock to purchase the issue for the media maven’s favorite items, it’s the extravagant gown that’s the real jaw-dropping beauty.
Lucky for us, Winfrey’s people dropped a few numerical details on the dress.
Ten people worked on the gown for a total of 100 hours. The train is 15 feet long and weighs 25 pounds. One hundred and sixty yards of fabric were used, the equivalent length of 1 ½ football fields. And 165 rosettes were applied to the skirt.
It’s simply gorgeous.
