Christian Louboutin is single-handedly amending the fashion world's definition of "nude" with the release of a new capsule collection designed to match an array of skin tones.
"5 Shades of Nude" is a line of heels that contains colors that range from fair blush to rich chestnut-- not just the blah, blah beige that's reserved for "certain" shoe lovers.
"They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette," Louboutin said. While the five new shades won't be any easier on your bank account, the red-soled stompers will give you an added oomph to your wardrobe.
"The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing," he added.
Potential buyers can find their closest match through a Louboutin Shades App which allows users to take a photo of their foot and find the heels that pair with their skin tone.
How thoughtful is that?
The nude line arrives in stores this month, with styles that include the Pigalle, Fifi, Simple Pump, Flo and Vendome.
